Forget the right to peacefully assemble. At the G20 Pittsburgh ALL assembly was declared unlawful. This is the message that was broadcast throughout the city for the past two days.

BY ORDER OF THE CITY OF PITTBURGH CHIEF OF POLICE WE HEREBY DECLARE THIS TO BE AN UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY.”

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR PURPOSE IS, YOU MUST LEAVE. IF YOU DO NOT DISPERSE, YOU MAY BE ARRESTED AND/OR SUBJECT TO OTHER POLICE ACTION. OTHER POLICE ACTION MAY INCLUDE ACTUAL PHYSICAL REMOVAL, THE USE OF RIOT CONTROL AGENTS AND/OR LESS LETHAL MUNITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE RISK OF INJURY TO THOSE WHO REMAIN.”

The tactics used by the police in Pittsburgh included everything from intimidation to military weapons. The use of the LRAD sonic control device was displayed for the first time ever in the US. Below is a summary of the events that took place during the G20.

Pittsburgh morning peaceful protests. Combat trucks begin rolling in and the troops begin to warm up. (4:50) The police chief declares all assembly to be unlawful assembly. One man with a loudspeak trys to rally the preople together, but then the sound of his voice is drowned out by the troopers beating on their shiled. This video gave me chills.
