Children’s cartoons have a better understanding of monetary policy then the federal reserve and our Washington Bureaucrats. When the boys get a hold of a Multiphonic Duplicator they start duplicating money like crazy. In the end the bury the town in money, which leads to hyperinflation. I think we need to send Scrooge McDuck to D.C. to straighten them out.

I remember this episode fondly. The name of it is Dough Ray Me. I also remembered another DuckTales episode about hyperinflation but I was unable to locate it until recently. That episode is called The Land of Tra-la-la. In that episode, a society with no money makes bottle caps their currency. When too many bottle caps are brought in prices skyrocket and hyperinflation develops.

You can find the full shows for both episodes within my article here: http://soyouthinkyoucaninvest.blogspot.com/2009/12/ducktales-of-hyperinflation.html
